eReaders

Illustration of an eReaderThese devices are primarily digital books using ‘e-ink’ technology rather than traditional colour LCD or OLED screens. They are lightweight, with limited computing power and restrictive compatible file types, but have long battery life and very readable text.

Example devices include the standard Kindle range, Kobo, Nook and Sony Reader. The Sony Reader has the added functionality of extracting text from PDFs so that you can read them with a font size of your choice.
